Biography

I am a PhD student in History (curriculum History of Africa and Asia) at the University of Pavia. My doctoral research focuses on the trans-imperial mobility of Iranians, including merchants, political dissidents and workers, across Asia, Africa and Europe in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I hold a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Milan, where I focused on the international politics and regional dynamics of the Middle East and Africa. During my doctoral studies, I was visiting PhD student at Central European University of Vienna, at the Institute of Iranians Studies of the University of Bamberg and at the Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies.
